Coraline Jones (Dakota Fanning) is a little girl with somewhat absent parents who has recently moved to a new apartment. One day, when she is unable to garner much attention from either parent, she goes searching about her home looking for adventure. Coraline discovers an alternate reality where she finds other parents who are much more attentive. As Coraline learns about her other parents she realizes she has a very important decision to make.
