Barbara (Brianna Brown) and her brother Johnny (Ken Ward) arrive at the cemetery to attend the funeral ceremony their aunt. Though the area appears to be deserted, soon they are attacked by ominous flesh-eating corpses with an unquenchable appetite. While Johnny tries to escape in his car, Barbara runs for her life when she is saved by a college student Ben (Joshua DesRoches). They soon take shelter in Henry Cooper's (Greg Travis) farmhouse in the vicinity. The country dwellers there, are not serious about the impending danger posed by the flesh eaters. Barbara understands that the living dead are of less concern to her when she discovers the ominous secret of the malicious mortician Gerald Tovar Jr. (Sid Haig).
